Black and White Nostalgia |
These examples of my black and white documentary photography were taken in the 1970s and 80s. Some were taken while on my travels as a staff photographer for various provincial newspapers, others during time off. However, they were all taken for personal reasons to satisfy only myself. The photographs I had to produce for my newspaper were very different in style to these which, up to now, have rarely been seen let alone published. Looking back at this work now 30 years on, I find the images have a nostalgic feel and are like windows into another age. Perhaps this means I am getting old! |
