BUYING PRINTS
Although I
am increasingly using a digital camera, many of the
photographs on this site have
been taken on medium-format colour transparency film.
In my
opinion, no completely photographic print process can
truly reproduce the subtlety of tone recorded on the
transparency well enough to please the discerning eye.
Of course, this is not the purpose for which
transparency film is designed.
By scanning the
originals I can produce digital files to work with, which can bring out the
subtlety of tone and detail that the original possesses.
Standard prints are printed on 260gsm satin
surfaced resin coated paper using a giclée fine art
printing process. This is a sophisticated inkjet
printing method that provides subtle gradations and
superb colour accuracy using archival quality pigmented
inks.

Signed
limited edition prints I have a
special selection of images that I can supply as signed
and numbered prints, limited to an edition of 500, on
300gsm fine art photo rag paper. This is a 100% rag,
traditional fine art paper, which is acid-free and of
archival quality with a special matt coating that makes
it ideal for high quality reproductions. Your fine art
print will have a 50mm white border. To see my selection
